Will my rebuilt battery continue to work in my
charger?
If I have a new insert placed
into the
existing battery case of my dead standard or more sophisticated
digital type battery will the complete battery with your new insert continue to work
with my charger?
Yes. Some sales people may tell you
that you cannot rebuild your dead battery and that if you do that the
rebuilt battery will not work with their charger. This is
not true if
the battery is rebuilt by Rathbone Energy, Inc. Rathbone Energy can rebuild or recell your
dead battery pack and it will work with other brand chargers as
well as with your original charger system.
For example:
When we rebuild a dead Anton
Bauer Logic or Digital Propac battery, Digital Hytron 50, 100, 120,
140 battery, we test each packs voltage before inserting into your
wiring harness. we then place the battery on an Anton Bauer 2702 with
DDM, test, and log the final results from the lower right hand corner of the
second digital read out. If the battery fails the test we trouble
shoot the wiring harness and circuit board. If this does not resolve
the issue we call the client.
After the pack is sealed we make a final test using Anton
Bauer Quad 2702 InterActive chargers with the DDM before shipping back
to you.

There used to be a company, many years ago, that built
batteries with a stone age built-in overnight (trickle) charger design.
We do not believe popular science would publish that design.
They closed their doors again about ten years ago but occasionally
one of their old batteries will still float to the surface.
We cannot keep up with when they re-open and close. It is our opinion that those batteries should be labeled, "battery
crock pots". We do not recommend any battery packs with
built-in trickle chargers which can cook your cells.
