Rathbone Broadcast Batteries is still in business and has been consistently serving the battery and charger industry on an international scale since 1989. We are Original Equipment Manufacturer, (A factory), -Value Added (OEM-V), Value added Distributor (VAD), & Value Added Reseller (VAR) custom assemblers of dry cell rechargeable and primary battery cells into assembled battery packs, client's final assembly, and manufacturers of battery analyzer charging systems for any industry in the United States or International. We are heavily involved in automotive hybrid battery packs and electric motor vehicles. We are NOT a box house or widget buyer sitting on very old battery stock.

A Reminder to the younger novices into broadcast. During the Regan Recession the largest Broadcast product distributor in the United States filed full bankruptcy. One of our broadcast battery competitors was practically joined to this distributor at the hips and had this company on Terms. Our competitor took a mortal wound that I am sure they want to forget. After that mortal wound our competitor had the choice to close or sell and they sold to the company that owns them now whose name starts as V something. And then they went to China for product.

June 2010: We are working on projects for a few of the above markets now and await infrastructure money for particular client needs. A DOD attorney has advised us to separate each of the upcoming projects into separate LLC's. When "forever taking" infrastructure finances are ready for each individual project, that market will change to a separate business name and LLC. These projects could be up to 24 months away.

Note: March 24, 2008 we had catastrophic event and emergency relocation and then another catastrophic event in January 2009, followed by an armed robbery involving three men and a woman and a 20 gauge shotgun, all creating chaos and chaotic communications. Each of the first two affecting our business with all clients having orders in-house from March 24, 2008 through February 2009.

April 2009:Rathbone Energy is back to normal, totally organized and running smoothly in the GWB Economic Depression. There were several 2008 losses to a few new client thieves in our broadcast markets and a local conspiracy of thieves,and also some required renovations that had to be handled but finally, all files and client battery packs are organized, in filing cabinets or on shelves, email folders are aligned, and everything is running smoothly.

After the armed robbery on October 10, 2010 by four crystal meth fans and a 20 gauge shotgun to my head, we needed a new environment and have moved again, (this time an organized move), to an alternate location for the actual office

Nickel Cadmium battery cells are environmentally unfriendly. Thanks to International Environmental Concerns and the good laws of other countries, our battery cell manufacturers have already phased them from their manufacturing lines. Panasonic did so three years ago. Rathbone Energy is an Environmentally Conscious Company, and has phased out assembly of nickel cadmium battery cells and nickel cadmium battery rebuilding as well. Panasonic has now dropped Nickel Metal Hydride and Sanyo is in the process with 36 week lead times If they even manufacture and ship.

In other words, the only battery assembler that actively promotes and is capable of professionally rebuilding broadcast batteries, Rathbone Energy, no longer supports rebuilding of Anton Bauer Nickel Cadmium Product. Once the Anton Bauer battery fails, the client will no longer get their extended money’s worth from the Anton Bauer battery through their prior ability to send those dead batteries to Rathbone for rebuilding. Nickel Cadmium has been going out for some time. Also, several countries either already ban or soon will ban new nickel cadmium products into their respective countries. However, the Rathbone Lithium Ion Broadcast Battery line is an excellent upgrade. Panasonic has discontinued nickel metal hydride and Sanyo is in process. This will leave only Chinese/South African alternates in nickel cadmium and nickel metal hydride. A very bad investment!

There is another rebuilder player having inserts built for them by battery assembler using Chinese, South African, and Consumer grade battery cells. They glue the cases and DO NOT verify proper function of the Anton batteries using Anton 2702 smart chargers with the DDM.
